{Thursday, August 14, 2008}   when Mori met Bill

A few years ago, Japanese Prime Minister Mori was given some basic English conversation training before he visits Washington and meets US president Bill Clinton.

The instructor told Prime Minister Mori, when you shake hand with President Clinton, please say How are you?’

Then Mr. Clinton should say, I am fine, and you?‘ Now, you should say ‘me too’. Afterwards we, translators, will do the work for you.

It looks quite simple, but the truth is…

When Mori met Clinton, he mistakenly said ‘Who are you?’ (instead of ‘How r u?’)

Mr. Clinton was a bit shocked but still managed to react with humor: ‘Well, I’m Hillary’s husband, ha-ha…’

Then Mori replied…

‘me too, ha-ha..’

Then there was a long silence in the meeting room.

Uh-oh… ;) )

A friend forwarded a mail just this morning. This is my way of helping the kid, spread ko na lang dito sa blogosphere.

Dear Friends and Relatives,

As you all know that our daughter Katrina Rambongga badly needs a Cochlear Implant as soon as possible, the unit alone is very expensive and this does not include the doctor and the hospital fees. As parents we have to do what ever it takes for her to have this implant and for her to hear and speak…. as they say ” HEAR KATRINA AND KATRINA HEARS “….We have started a fund raising program for our daughter, we know that this will take time and lots of effort, specially for my wife who is now taking care all of these alone…..

What we have here are TEDDY BEARS which we are selling for….Php 150.00 for the small ones and Php 300.00 for the big ones. The funds that will be generated from this will be added to the cost for our daughters Cochlear Implant….

(Sorry I can’t paste the image of the teddies here, ayaw lumabas eh..LOLZ)

You may also forward this message to your friends so that they may “HEAR KATRINA “.

If interested you may contact:

my wife Karen Rambongga at cp 09295416625 or email her at karen_rambongga@yahoo.com

or me John Rambongga at cp 09285020316 or email me at john_rambongga@yahoo.com

Again thank for all your help and God Bless….

Katrina is 2 years old turning 3 on Friday June 13. She also have congenital heart disease , pulmonic stenosis, kasi I had a german Measles nung 2 months akong pregnant sa kanya, kaya, yan ang effect sa kanya, blessing pa rin kasi hindi siya blind. usually blind din. for the first year , iyong heart niya ang concern, supposedly ioopen surgery siya when she reach 1 year old , pero by God’s miracle hindi na severe ang situation niya so no need for operation, when she reach  2 years old hindi ko na puwede i ignore ang situation niya for being deaf and mute, nagkaroon ako ng denial stage, na baka delayed speech lang siya but my greatest fear was confirmed Oct 2007 , nag lumabas result ng hearing test, then I thought kaya ng hearing aid but then again, another 2 hearing test occurs, Ctscan and MRI showed may defect sa ears niya. i had 5 to 6 doctors consolted 2 specialist, cochlear implant talaga advised nila, so go for the gold, to hook or by crooked

anything just to hear her say MAMA, and para Malaman niya man lang Katrina name niya, that’s it. kung makakapag open lang sana ako ng website http://havenmind.com everything is there , tapos may video pa siya sa YOU TUBE, connected dun, Yan ang story namin. sa Saturday nga lalabas kami sa kapwa ko, mahal ko  channel 7 6:00 am dito.

MAY GOD BLESS EVERYONE. MAY KATRINA HEAR THE WORLD.

{Tuesday, February 19, 2008}   Sand and Stone

I feel like sharing this email I got from my bestfriend. Na-inspire kasi ako.

Two friends were walking through the desert.
During some point of the journey, they had an argument;
And one friend slapped the other one in the face.

The one who got slapped was hurt,
But without saying anything, wrote in the sand:

Today my best friend slapped me in the face.

searching for the stone in the Safari

They kept on walking until they found an oasis,
Where they decided to take a bath
The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire
And started drowning, but the friend saved him.

After he recovered from the near drowning,
He wrote on a stone:

Today my best friend saved my life.

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him,

‘After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now,
you write on a stone, why?’

The friend replied:

‘When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand,
where winds of forgiveness can erase it away.
But, when someone does something good for us,
We must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.’

Learn to write your hurts in the sand and to carve your benefits in stone.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person,
An hour to appreciate them, a day to love them,
But then an entire life to forget them.

Ayoko nito!

How about… yan yung nasa baba?

{Thursday, January 3, 2008}   I love my work but i just hate it! Heheh

Nakakasama ng loob for us na parang gustong-gusto na naming layasan ‘tong kumpanyang ito but still we’re considering a lot of things, kaya bago magdesisyon pag-iisipan muna namin.

This is how i look….

{Wednesday, November 21, 2007}   Scammer Alert

email1
Matagal ko na ring nababasa ito. Kadalasan nga pare-pareho pa ng Serial No. or winning no. Nagkakamali sila ng niloloko, kasi makikipaglokohan at asaran ako sa kanila.

{Thursday, October 25, 2007}   my new cubicle

A Letter from the Management

Dear Staff:

Due to the projected increase workload in the coming months, the management has decided that it can no longer afford for you to take time out of your busy schedule and go to the restroom. Instead, to increase employee efficiency the company will shoulder the expense of remodelling your cubicle to accomodate restroom privileges. Thank you for your cooperation.

{Tuesday, October 23, 2007}   An Appeal to OFWs

Just wanna share this forwarded email I got from my friend.

This is in response of some OFW to this article posted in Inquirer.net earlier this month.

Mga mahal na kabayan,

Its about time we cut and or stop for a while (a day or two) the sending of remittance. For those with only remittance as the source of family sustenance, like me, I will have to consider some ways to provide my family back home some remedies while we are not sending for a day (equivalent to one month pay) at least But we must all do it so that the result would be a tremendous set back on the dollar remittance in our country.

Another alternative would be for all participating OFWs not to send money on certain dates so that we can see how far we can do it. If it becomes successful then we will wage another “ no sending remittance” scheme again on a particular date.

{Monday, October 8, 2007}   What happens if…

We still use our mobile phones when we are in Petrol stations?

Nothing. Well, at least for me.

In Petrol Stations, we notice that there are signs that you need to switch off mobile phones when you are on queue and filling up your tank. Most people pay no heed to that. I am also guilty of that. Whenever sayang needs to fill up the gas tank, we never even bothered to switch the phone off, though I’ve heard in the past that an explosion happened because of this. And these are what sayang sent me just this morning.

{Tuesday, September 25, 2007}   break-up letter

I have heard that in some relationship, when one decides to break up with another, nangyayari daw ang solian ng mga gifts o mga bagay-bagay na ibinigay ninyo sa isa’t isa. In my case naman kasi, nahihiya ako at ayokong umasa pa ‘yung tao.

A soldier stationed in Afghanistan recently received a letter from his girl friend back home. It read as follows:

Dear Ricky,

I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I’m sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent to you.

Love,

Becky

The soldier, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow soldiers for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters or ex-girlfriends

In addition to the picture of Becky, Ricky included all the other pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies. There were 57 photos in that envelope along with this note:

Dear Becky,

I’m so sorry, but I can’t quite remember who the hell you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me.

Take Care,

Ricky

Oooppss. Ang sakit naman niyan! Napahiya pa tuloy si Becky.

Moral of the story: If you can’t change your fate, change your attitude.

{Wednesday, September 5, 2007}   Stuff to do when you’re bored

As in! Ilang minuto or kalahating oras din un.

What to do when you’re bored
